Ingredients:
¾ lb beef
skirts or stewing beef; 1 small onion; ½ lb suet crust
pastry; seasoning.
Method:
Roll out suet
pastry and place on floured cloth. Cut up beef finely
and chop onion. Season with salt and pepper. Place meat
and onion into crust, sprinkle with a little water and
gather up edges of pastry to form a dumpling. Tie
securely in cloth and place carefully in saucepan of
boiling water to cook for 1½ - 2 hours.
